Rick Shubb was already a successful poster artist and banjo player who was hanging out with many of the San Francisco Bay Area’s leading musicians of the 1960s when he came up with a capo design that would ultimately become his life’s work. Now in production for more than 40 years, the original Shubb capo has sold more than six million times, and the companies product line now includes several other great products. In this video, Rick reflects on his company’s history and talks about the original idea behind his groundbreaking design.
