Here’s a fine Peghead-instructor pairing. Matt Munisteri and Joe K. Walsh have been playing a series of duo concerts over the past few months, and they recently spent time in Portland, Maine, rehearsing for upcoming dates. In this video taken during their rehearsals, Matt and Joe play Bill Monroe’s popular “Kentucky Waltz,” a bluegrass classic, and take it in a fun, jazz-influenced direction.

You can learn to play “Kentucky Waltz” in Joe’s Advancing Mandolinist course on Peghead Nation. And you can also learn with Joe in his Bluegrass Mandolin Jam Favorites, Octave Mandolin, and Improvising for Mandolin and Fiddle courses on the site.

Learn with Matt Munisteri in his Roots of Jazz Guitar course or his Swing Guitar Soloing course!
