Amythyst Kiah is a talented songwriter, guitarist, and banjoist, and is part of Our Native Daughters, the acclaimed collaboration with Rhiannon Giddens, Leyla McCalla, and Allison Russell. She recently stopped by Martin Guitar and played “Black Myself,” her song that leads off Songs of Our Native Daughters and that was nominated for the 2019 Grammy Award for Best American Roots Song. Amythyst plays the song on a beautiful 1942 Martin D-45, in the Martin Museum.
