Julian Lage has become a leading voice in contemporary jazz guitar. Having already worked with Collings Guitars on a signature model OM1 JL acoustic, he has recently collaborated with the company on an electric guitar, which is called the 470 JL. The guitar is a completely new design and uses a mahogany body with an internal trestle block and a laminated maple top. The 470 JL has Ron Ellis single coil pickups, a Bigsby vibrato, and a custom neck profile. In this video, Julian uses the guitar for a solo performance of his orginal “Rylan,” which is also found on his album Arclight.
