Virginia’s Huss & Dalton Guitar Company has established itself as one of the premier makers of steel-string flattop guitars in the country. Though especially well-regarded for its traditional designs, the company also offers several original developments, of which the FS, which is optimized for fingerstyle players, is one. In this video, fingerstyle guitarist Hiroya Tsukamoto demonstrates a Huss & Dalton FS built with an Engelmann spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides. Hiroya gives a bit of background about how encountered Huss & Dalton, talks about the instrument, and finishes by playing an original piece in DADGAD tuning.
