September 12, 2016

Advancing Mandolinist instructor Joe K. Walsh is releasing his new album called Borderland this week. While he was in the Peghead Nation studio recording lessons for his course, he gave us a preview of the album by playing the song “The Stream” on his A. Lawrence Smart mandola with with his Mr. Sun bandmate and duo partner Grant Gordy on guitar. This song is a Henry Timrod poem that Joe set to music, and on Borderland, he is joined on the song by Peghead Nation fiddle instructor Brittany Haas, as well as Courtney Hartman on guitar, and Karl Doty on bass.
