Andy Powers and Scott Nygaard: “Summertime”
Taylor Guitars master luthier Andy Powers stopped by with two new Taylor models for 2016. He and Scott Nygaard took them for a spin on the standard "Summertime."
Taylor Guitars master luthier Andy Powers stopped by Peghead Nation last fall with two new guitars that Taylor is releasing this month. In addition to being an innovative guitar builder, Andy is also a talented player, as you can see in this video featuring Andy and Peghead Nation’s Scott Nygaard playing “Summertime” during Andy’s visit.
Andy is playing Taylor’s newly redesigned maple dreadnought. For details about that guitar, please see our Taylor 610e demonstration video. Scott is playing a Taylor 858e 12-string, which Andy designed using the Taylor Grand Orchestra body shape as a starting point.
Both of these models will be on display at the NAMM Show in Anaheim, California January 21–24 and available at Taylor dealers shortly.
