“Trouble in Mind” Swing Style, Part 1
The blues standard “Trouble in Mind” has been played in all sorts of styles: old-time, blues, jazz, and Western swing. The Western swing version makes a good song to demonstrate some basic swing chords, which you’ll learn in this lesson. Scott plays it through so you can get the basic chordal structure and then shows you how to finger each of the chords you’ll use to play “Trouble in Mind” swing style: G6, D7, G6/B, C6, C#dim, E7, Am7, C9, and Daug.
