Clarence Gaskill and Jimmy McHugh wrote “I Can’t Believe That You’re in Love with Me” in 1926 and it became popular through recordings by Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald, among others, including Jazz violinist Eddie South, who recorded a great mid-tempo version with Django Reinhardt in 1937.
