I often tell my students that If I only had time to teach them one thing, that one thing would be learning to release their jaw! Tension is the number one enemy of the singing voice. Without realizing it, most of us try to control our voices with muscles in our neck, throat and jaw (wrong!). Jaw tension, in particular, kills resonance and limits range, so let’s learn the right way to release that jaw!
