In this lesson, you’ll learn something a little different: the beautiful Irish waltz “Star of the County Down.” It’s not only a fun tune to play but, since it has a fairly simple melody, is a good chance to work on your tone and intonation. Chad plays it through and then breaks it down phrase by phrase, showing you a few variations and embellishments as he goes. Then Chad shows how to play the melody of “Star of the County Down” in the lower octave. You’ll also learn the chords/double stops to “Star of the County Down” so you can accompany another instrumentalist or singer.
