Creating the AEG-1 | L.R. Baggs
Company founder Lloyd Baggs talks about the background and design of the new AEG-1 acoustic-electric guitar.
L.R. Baggs’ new AEG-1 is one of the most advanced acoustic-electric guitars ever built. Designed from the ground up to offer optimal acoustic guitar sound in amplified settings, the guitar uses a highly innovative internal structure and it is fine-tuned for L.R. Baggs’ flagship HiFi Duet pickup and microphone system. In this video, company founder Lloyd Baggs talks about his background as a luthier, how he got into amplification, and the specifics of the AEG-1 design. The clip also includes footage of the guitars being built at Crafter Guitar’s South Korean factory, as well as performances by Mitch Grainger, Trey Hensley, and Molly Tuttle.
