Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley are each virtuoso instrumentalists in their own right, and together they form a powerful roots music duo that has been thrilling audiences and gaining critical recognition since the release of their first album, Before the Sun Goes Down, which was nominated for a Grammy award for Best Bluegrass Album in 2016. The pair’s most recent album, The Country Blues, features an eclectic mix of songs by Hank Williams, Charlie Daniels, Merle Haggard, the Wood Brothers, and others, as well as originals written by Rob and Trey.
Rob and Trey tour widely, and they recently visited the Mann Family Farm in Bolinas, California, where they put on another high-octane show for a barn full of appreciative listeners. Their set included this take on the Stevie Ray Vaughan classic, “Pride and Joy.”
