Darol Anger and Joe K. Walsh’s BLUR-GRASS: “Laughing River”
An all-star band, including two Peghead instructors, plays a great Greg Brown song at the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival.
We had fun catching Darol Anger and Joe K. Walsh’s all-star project BLUR-GRASS at Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival in Oak Hill, NY, this month. Joe is joined by his fellow Peghead Nation instructor BB Bowness on banjo in this talented band, along with guitarist Alex Rubin and bassist Brittany Karlson. Throughout their virtuosic set, they played tunes and songs written by each member, and a handful of interpretations, including this take on Greg Brown’s great ode to the wandering life of a minor league baseball player, “Laughing River.”
