We’ve just completed our first Peghead Nation Mandolin Camp, which was held at Kowana Valley Folk School and Lodge near Yosemite, California. Over the course of four days, students were treated to rotating classes with Sharon Gilchrist, John Reischman, and Joe K. Walsh teaching mandolin, and Scott Nygaard teaching guitar.
To get things rolling, John, Scott, Joe, and Sharon played a few tunes together, including this spirited version of Ralph Stanley’s “Clinch Mountain Backstep.”
Thanks to all who attended, our gracious hosts at Kowana Valley, Lynn and Rich Ferry, and our sponsors Straight Up Strings and MandolinCafe.com.
