Mike Witcher, John Reischman, Bill Evans, Chad Manning, Jim Nunally, and Mark Schatz: “Dobro Country”
The California Bluegrass Reunion band plays a Tut Taylor classic at the Peghead Nation 10th Anniversary Showcase.
It was fun to have the California Bluegrass Reunion Band on hand for the Peghead Nation 10th Anniversary Showcase and Party, with Peghead Nation instructors Mike Witcher, Bill Evans, Chad Manning, and John Reischman joined by Jim Nunally and bassist Mark Schatz. In this video, the California Bluegrass Reunion band plays a great version of the Tut Taylor tune “Dobro Country,” which Mike teaches in his Dobro Workshop course on Peghead Nation, and which he recorded on the Tut Taylor tribute album Southern Filibuster.
The Peghead Nation 10th Anniversary Party and Showcase happened last November at Studio Fourth Street, a beautiful new performance and gathering space in Peghead Nation’s hometown of San Rafael, California. It was a special night of unique collaborations and wonderful performances from many of the folks who have made our first decade possible.
