Peghead Nation’s 10th Anniversary | We Want to Hear from You
We’d love to hear what you’ve learned on Peghead Nation. Record a video of your playing and share it with us on our social media channels to help celebrate our 10th!
Hey Pegheads! We (Dan Gabel, Scott Nygaard, and Teja Gerken, the Co-founders of Peghead Nation) are excited and very grateful that we’re coming up on our 10th anniversary, and it’s all thanks to YOU—our amazing students, instructors, partners, and community!
We’d love to celebrate this milestone with you, and one way to do that is to see and hear from as many students (and instructors!) as possible. So, how about this? Record a video of yourself playing something you’ve learned on Peghead Nation and share it with us on social media. Don’t worry about musical or cinematic perfection (as my example clearly demonstrates!)—just share your playing, and let us know the Peghead Nation instructor and/or course you learned the tune from. You can tag Peghead Nation, invite us to collaborate on Instagram, share it on our Facebook page, and use the hashtag #LearnedItOnPegheadNation. More than anything, we’d love to hear your music-making!
I’ll even go first. Toward the end of the above video, you’ll see a clip of me playing a tune I learned from John Reischman’s Melodic Mandolin Tunes course. It’s “Little Pine Siskin,” and I played it overlooking the Yuba River in Downieville, California, a bit ago. It was windy and you hear that, but it was a great day made even better by picking in that beautiful setting.
We can’t wait to celebrate with YOUR contributions, so please, roll cameras! Thanks to every student, instructor, and follower for being with us on Peghead Nation over the last 10 years. We’ve got a lot more for you!
