Also known as “The Swaggering Jig,” “Bellaghy Fair” and several other names, “Give a Drink of Water” is the second tune in an energetic medley that opens that seminal recording, and Flynn walks you phrase-by-phrase through the 9/8 tune in the key of Am. Along the way, he shows you the ornaments you’ll need to give it an idiomatically correct feel. In this video, Flynn shows you the first part of the tune.
