| “The Eighth of January” Play-Along Track: Melody and Rhythm |
In this video Sharon plays “The Eighth of January” four times at a medium tempo. She alternates between playing rhythm and melody, playing rhythm the first and third times through, and melody the second and fourth times. You can practice making the transition between melody and rhythm with her, playing melody when she plays melody, and rhythm when she plays rhythm. Once you get comfortable with that, you could try playing rhythm when Sharon plays melody and vice versa.
