| Embellishing Melodies: “Old Joe Clark,” Part 1: A Part |
In this lesson, you’ll learn two embellished versions of the melody to “Old Joe Clark.” Embellishing the melody is just a matter of filling in the melody you already know with some more melodic ideas. Sharon plays the first embellished version of the A part through, and then starts taking it apart, phrase by phrase, giving you the chance to play each phrase along with her. Then she plays the second embellished version of the A part, and takes that apart phrase by phrase.
