Ida Mae, “Calico Coming Down” | LR Baggs

The alt-folk duo performs a song from their most recent album.

Originally from the UK, husband-and-wife alt-folk duo Ida Mae, consisting of Chris Turpin and Stephanie Jean, has been making waves out of their current home base in Nashville. LR Baggs caught up with the duo during the 2021 AmericanaFest, resulting in this video of “Calico Coming Down,” originally featured on Ida Mae’s album Click Click Domino. Turpin uses an LR Baggs M1 pickup to amplify his flattop guitar.
