The T5z | Taylor Guitars

Taylor artist Daria Musk demonstrates the versatile tones of the acoustic-electric T5z guitar.
September 30, 2021

Taylor’s T5z is a unique hybrid of acoustic-electric guitars. With a thin chambered body, the guitar feels more like a solid-body electric than a typical acoustic, and a lipstick-style magnetic pickup also allows for true electric guitar sounds. But the guitar also has an acoustic-style pin bridge and acoustic pickups, which means it can produce a plugged-in acoustic sound. Perhaps the T5z’s most interesting feature is that it can combine the electric and acoustic characters into unusual hybrid sounds. In this video, Taylor artist Daria Musk demonstrates her favorite creative T5z settings through an amp connected to a DAW.
