Molly Tuttle on the AEG-1 | L.R. Baggs

The Grammy Award winning guitarist discusses how she the innovative AEG-1 guitar in her shows.

The L.R. Baggs AEG-1 is an innovative instrument that is built from the ground up to be the ultimate acoustic-electric guitar. Using the L.R. Baggs HiFi Duet pickup/microphone system, the guitar has a patent-applied for body construction that uses laminated poplar and a super-stiff rim construction for maintaining natural acoustic sound at high volumes. Grammy Award-winning guitarist Molly Tuttle has risen to the very top of the contemporary flatpicking guitar world, and she is also an accomplished clawhammer-style player. In this video, Molly uses the AEG-1 to play “The River Knows,” and she discusses why the guitar has been a welcome addition to her standard acoustics in her live shows.
