Martin’s D-28 is one of the most iconic steel-string flattop ever created. Used in all musical styles that call for an acoustic guitar, the instrument has been in continuous production since the 1930s, and it continues to be the standard that rosewood dreadnoughts are held to. Shot at the Martin factory in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, this video shows an accelerated view into all the steps involved in building a D-28, starting with wood selection and concluding with final setup.
