ALL WIGGED OUT | Marcy Marxer Fundraiser

Help Peghead Nation’s ukulele instructor tell her cancer treatment and recovery story.

May 19, 2021

Marcy Marxer is a master multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, performer, and instructor, with over three decades of experience bringing the fun of folk and roots music to audiences and students around the world through her duo with Cathy Fink and through other projects. She is also a cancer survivor who chronicled her experience of being diagnosed, going through chemo and radiation, and ultimately recovering, and she crafted ALL WIGGED OUT, a play that was scheduled to debut just as Covid hit and shut down all theater productions.

Now, Marcy and Cathy have created a plan to film ALL WIGGED OUT for TV and broadcast, and they are raising money through a GoFundMe campaign so you can help them make the film a reality. See the GoFundMe campaign by clicking here.

In ALL WIGGED OUT, Grammy® Award-winner Marcy Marxer blends music, storytelling, comedy, and advice based on her firsthand experiences with breast cancer, starting with a funky mammogram in June 2015 and ending shortly after her last chemo pill in spring of 2021. Says Marxer, “There were times when the wig shop gals gave me more information than my doctors. So did conversations with other patients in the chemo room.” With her renowned musical mastery and eclectic wit, Marxer traces her transition from award-winning virtuosic musician to artist struggling with chemo-induced neuropathy, and the path back to touring musician. It happens to coincide with her hair story. Marcy will be joined by partner Cathy Fink, and a three-piece band.

Help Marcy create the film version of ALL WIGGED OUT by donating to her GoFundMe campaign, here.
