Now in its fourth decade as an acoustic instrument amplification industry leader, Fishman offers a wide variety of pickups, amplifiers, preamps, and accessories. The company has offered many stand-alone preamps over the years, as well as a line of dedicated effects pedals, but the new TONEDEQ is Fishman’s first processor to combine a preamp, DI, and digital effects in one unit.

Designed as a floor pedal, the TONEDEQ offers two banks of digital effects, with reverb and delay in one bank and chorus, flanger, or tremolo in the other. In addition, the device includes compression, four-bands of EQ (including a low-cut switch), phase reversal, and a footswitchable boost function (up to 9 dB). The TONEDEQ has a standard ¼-inch input and both ¼-inch and balanced XLR outputs.

The TONEDEQ is a cool solution for players who want to add basic effects to a high-quality preamp/DI box. The sounds are excellent and perfectly tailored for acoustic instruments.
