Teja Gerken “1948”

March 19, 2015

Peghead Nation Co-Founder/Producer Teja Gerken also hosts the Advanced Fingerstyle Workshop, where his guest instructors have included Tony McManus, Ed Gerhard, Peppino D’Agostino, Mike Dowling, Jamie Stillway, Paul Asbell, and others. In this video, Teja performs his original tune, “1948.” Played in D A D G A D tuning, the piece consists of variations of three themes and a bridge section, and includes passages that make use of both open strings and closed chord voicings. Teja plays the piece on a Martin Custom Shop OM.
