Peghead Nation’s Irish fiddle and mandolin teachers Dale Russ and Marla Fibish are some of the best Irish musicians in the country. Martin Hayes has called Dale Russ “one of the greatest fiddlers I know in Irish traditional music” and Marla is one of the most renowned voices on the mandolin in Irish music. They got together recently in the Peghead Nation studio to play a few tunes, including this medley of Irish reels: “Lafferty’s” and “The Lady on the Island.”
