Tim O’Brien Solo Set
Tim O'Brien performs at the Tennessee State Museum.
Tim O’Brien has been busy of late with the release of the first Hot Rize album in 24 years, When I’m Free, and their current tour that will continue well into 2015. He was also recently part of the 2014 Grammy-nominated album from The Earls Of Leicester celebrating the music of Flatt and Scruggs, and an album (Memories and Moments) and tour with his duo partner Darrell Scott.
When he’s not collaborating with other giants of the roots music community, Tim often takes the stage solo, as he does in this 2013 performance for Jammin’ at Hippie Jacks. It’s a friendly and impressive set, with Tim cycling through his catalog playing guitar, mandolin, octave mandolin, banjo, and fiddle. Now that’s putting the pegheads to use.
Thanks to Jammin at Hippie Jacks for the video.
